    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread.

I'm very proud of this thread - and think that I've been doing my patriotic duty working on it - that the NYT has been serving the country by hosting it - and the lchic has been a very gracious Aussie for working on it so brilliantly, gracefully, and entertainingly.

I was very proud of the exchanges between almarst , lchic and me on July 4, 2001 - especially the postings keyed to Koko - and problems even a monkey should be able to see - and repost the July 4 2001 postings here.

"With the internet, and crosslinking, and hard work, there are technical arrangements, partly coming into focus here, that accomodate communication, including the expression of disagreements between staffs. http://www.mrshowalter.net/a_md6000s/md6541.htm http://www.mrshowalter.net/a_md6000s/md6551.htm cites links to my relationship to Bill Casey available at http://www.mrshowalter.net/CaseyRel.html - and reasons why it was clear, by July 4, 2001 - that gisterme cared about this thread, and had studied it. http://www.mrshowalter.net/a_md6000s/md6555.htm

Koko series:

" And Happy Birthday Koko with interspecies communication ... wonder what she makes of Missile Defence !

Have I been stupid to have been working so hard and risking my neck here? Well maybe. Anyway, I've had enough for one day. And if readers of this thread go back and look at the Koko series just above - well, I say that's entertainment !

Out.

"when we want some organized information."

When I want "organized" "work" that is also "organized" only for mental-illness, and not "organized" in any logical way, then I don't need it or call it "information"....nothing but links that link back to the same link....
