    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

I agree with Cantabb and Bluestar....a more-or-less official anti-Showalter Front must form to stop his spamming.

Uh-Oh !

Now you're going to get it. Will be (Already are, I see) a TARGET for a well co-ordinated double-barrel ! Get ready !

ASKING them questions on their activities and claims is sure to bring their 'wrath' !

This 'spamming' was NOT effectively addressed before -- may be "ignored" for various reasons or, as it seems, entertained and engaged in, or indirectly encouraged, by the 'regulars'.

No matter how much and how often they complain about rshow55 and his ways on this forums, the 'regulars' can't seem to stand anyone else question the Forum, and they're too ready to attack the newbies (I've been seeing it for the past 20 days).

China - showing footage of veggies that are 25% larger than norm ... with the implication that 'space travel' will increase agri-eco-output by a quarter. Truth Lies Propaganda

LOYAL support from Amen corner !

An interesting paper Showalter ... http://www.mrshowalter.net/pap2/ .. don't you think so George!

"[I]nteresting" to you ? Don't know what it means. Is it on the same level of other "interesting" things you keep dragging on to the Forum ?

( can't ask Can't tab ... because cantabb is on everyone's Ignore Posts list )

As if he cares. [Never did before: not his way]

Anyway, so far, it looks like only yours. And, that too, kinda partially, peephole-active !

"It got understood and exposed." It's gettin' cold and he ain't wearing any clothes !

eyelet - bootstrapping

eyelet (usage of)

this eastern "Bastion of Catholicism" surrendered to a combined Ottoman Turk and Ukrainian Cossack force in the fall of 1672. The heavily depopulated urban center was reorganized as an administrative center (eyelet) for the new Ottoman Podillian province.
eyelet (specialist production of) Until the 'heavy metal' version of the eyelet came into common usage - in the physical sense, it wasn't possible to effectively 'pull oneself up by the bootstraps' ... only 'buckle up'

A wonderful example of "connecting the dots" !. From carrots to missiles.

"Truth Lies Propaganda"

For some, NO difference. All three (3) rolled into one !

"It got understood and exposed." LIKE IT OR NOT !

Yet another post NOT relevant to MD ! I know, nothing new !
