Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

KENYA : Recently, Mr Awori visited prisoners and warders
and was perturbed by the living conditions ..... the 28
prisoners were traumatised each day of their lives as they did

had never seen the sun or the sky .... They were confined in
total darkness everyday, 11 of them crowded in a room meant
for three ... freed because they had already served up to 20
years
