    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Superficially, it is easy to see what is happening here. rshow55, mentally ill, believes he is engaging in a serious National-Security dialogue with Very Important Persons through this Forum. Such symtoms are easily identifiable traits of mental illness, especially grandiosely delusional behaviour...it is not the business of the New York Times to provide Webspace for ill, delusional persons....[emphasis, mine].

But he has been asked -- ordained -- by a former president and CIA director and others -- to 'come through' NYT, and obviously NYT HAD to oblige.

The guy had made "promises" to these people and we don't him to do anything to see him go back/break his "promises," do we ? Even though, he now admits he has already broken one of his "promises" by divulging his connection to them. He's waiting for CIA and NSC to release him from his "house arrest." Or, discuss this openly in public [with a reliable third party present].

Did you read Nassar's book on 'NASH' or seen the movie ? Check Page # ---. And stay tuned, or read along.

Cantabb....check out this...rshow55 is at the University of Wisconsin, I'm sure of it....a math Profeesor, or was in the past...I think I'll email some of his stuff to the Admin. of the University of Wisconsin, and see what they make of it...

Post something on Topic and show us that you are as good as you THINK you are.

"Post something on Topic"

rather than enabling the destructive "work" of showalter, why don't you ask rshow55 this question...?

From the man himself:

rshow55

"Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread."

Personal Information:

I'm M. Robert Showalter of Madison, Wisconsin -- email mrshowalt@mrshowalter.net . I'm in the Madison phone book.

I've been working on this thread since September 25, 2000

Mr. Showalter is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin....

The 'Post' is mightier than the missile.

A re-tread of Aesop's moral ?

The Schoolyard is above the barnyard of the beholder.

The eyes of the beholder see both the barnyard and school yard. Doesn't matter which is "above," suffice it to know they're together. Happy time there !

Post something on Topic and show us that you are as good as you THINK you are.

Your comprehension problem showing up again: I've NOT said or drummed up "good" I think I am [not the kind of "self-aggrandizing" your 'idol', rshow55, his esteemed collaborator, lchic, you and others have been egaged in here]. I've just asked a couple of basic questions on what's been going on here for 2+years and where's the evidence of what is claimed to have been accomplished. Despite numerous attempts, have gotten NO answer at all.

When you and other regulars haven't said ANYTHING on-topic for so long, you want a 'new comer' who has not been here "long enough" to come to your rescue ?

Any way, how about defining the relationship you think KAEP may have in relation to MD, the way described in the Forum, from US perspective ?

I've asked you -- a strong rshow55 and his forum-use supporter -- and others to define [if rshow55 is too scattered to be able to focus on anything at all] what he has been doing here on the Forum and what has he accomplished so far vis-vis global claims. Other than school-yard drumming from YOU for him and his activities, YOU have not produced a scintilla of evidence or a response to my questions.

Your school yard antics, no matter how comfortable for you, IS NOT the response I was looking for.
