    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Wow this guy's spamming 3 forums with this same slop.

I wonder what he's trying to accomplish. It appears no one engages him, or if they do, they taunt him.

What drives an individual to post this stuff? What are his motivations?

Is he a student from Russia visiting America who has been stunned by his sudden Internet access.

Is he a confused socialist transported accidentally from the past into our time.

Has Trostky been reincarnated?

Stay tuned as we explore these important questions.

And now a brief word from our sponsor.....

"The example of new nuclear states that seem able to deter threats from more powerful states, simply by brandishing nuclear weaponry, will resonate deeply among other countries that want to enter the nuclear weapons club," Tenet said. - http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A59498-2003Feb11?language=printer
