    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

" ... as the King came by the little boy looked and, horrified, said,. "Look at the King! Look at the the King! Look at the King, the King, the King! ... as naked as the day that he was born. "

So who are the 'rascals' the equivalent of the two tailors in the story Emperors new clothes who take the money .... to weave invisible suits of gold for 'Liberty' to parade in?

How is that $350bn cut up - who gets a cut?

And so it came to pass that George and ALL his monikers settled down together, with beer and popcorn -- each waving his very own US-flag, to make an evening of 'Superbowl' the ultimate challenge in US manhood!?

"...Rshow - hats off to you buddy. Yes no doubt gisterme could be POTUS. whoa...."

Robert shouldn't be worried about gisterme being GWB. What should really frighten him is that I might be Santa Clause!

"...Can the Raiders come back?..."

Way to late for that! So much for the "Raider nation". How 'bout them Bucks???!!

What I had hoped to see at the end of the game while John Gruden was receiving all the adulation was a close-up of Raiders owner Al Davis enjoying it all as he looked on. I was so disappointed! I think I'll have the FBI investigate the network for depriving the American people of that small satisfaction... :-) Such deprival seemed entirely un-American to me!

That would have been the real cherry on top!
