    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Working with others - KERRY

Kerry: U.S. must work with other nations Jan. 23, 2003 | WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry says it is not a sign of weakness for the United States to work closely with other nations, but rather “it amplifies America's voice and extends our reach.”

Let's make a deal, if Saddam steps down, we'll get Bush to step down.

It's a win-win scenario.

He's commenting on Showalter being 'hopeful' regarding the progress with negotiations ..... 'The Wanderer' implying that the US lacks the diplomatic skills to come through without resorting to violence.

Will Wanderer of Showalter be right-wrong is compromise in the air?

Saddam/Bush both ARE Tribes

Saddam has his like-minded thrust into positions of power to obey and carry-out his orders

Bush has his like-minded thrust ito positions of power (Senate,Congress,HighCourt) to carry-out his orders

It isn't the removal of a name - rather the removal of a MIND-SET!

Mind-set Tribes Regimes ....

It's simplistic to assume that by toppling the Top-Cocky at the apex of the tree ... then magically all will be hunky-dory!

Terror - Indonesia - East Timor border - UN

The Terror in Timor lives on - at the border interface of the Timor Island.

If the UN 'fined' Indonesia for the cost of skirmish on this border .... and Indonesia had to dig deep into it's pocket .... THEN .... there might be a resolve in Indonesia to get people into line!

America certainly is not a democracy, just look at the last POTUS (s)election.
