Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Isn't there a built-in constitutional duty - integral to
accountable transparent government that demands public
expenditures be checked, audited, and explained.
Dollars are scarce. Their deployment has to be set against
all other demands of the economy and justified. The question
"How best can each and every dollar be spent" has to become
the norm.
What value is realised from each dollar's expenditure ....
docs the multiplier effect come into play .... how often does
that dollar circulate - velocity - to boost the economy?

"If you followed the first Gulf War you remember the
infamous story of how Iraqi soldiers removed babies from
incubators in Kuwait city; left them to die and shipped the
incubators back to Iraq. This was front page news in every
newspaper in the U.S. and the lead story on every major news
station as the public was deciding whether to support going to
war.
This story was repeated by President Bush senior in a
number of speeches saying that such "ghastly atrocities,"
were like "Hitler revisited."
There is only one problem with this story. It never
happened! It was a complete fabrication! - http://www.itszone.co.uk/zone0/viewtopic.php?t=2573

"Nobody's made the connection before between
Consolidated Silesian Steel Corporation, Auschwitz and
Prescott Bush," John Loftus told Clamor.
"That was the reason why Auschwitz was built there. The
coal deposits could be processed into either coal or additives
for aviation gasoline."
Even though Thyssen and Flick's Consolidated Steel was
in their possession, Hitler's invasions across Europe spooked
them, bringing back memories of World War I. Thyssen and Flick
sold Consolidated Steel to UBC. Under the complete control of
Harriman and management of Bush, the company became Silesian
American Corporation which became part of UBC and Harriman's
portfolio of 15 corporations. Thyssen quickly moved to
Switzerland and later France to hide from the terror about to
be unleashed by the Nazi war machine he had helped build.
A portion of the slave labor force in Poland was
"managed by Prescott Bush," according to a Dutch
intelligence agent. In 1941, slave labor had become the
lifeblood of the Nazi war machine. The resources of Poland's
rich steel and coal field played an essential part in Hitler's
invasion of Europe. - http://www.clamormagazine.org/features/issue14.3_feature.3.html

Why has Presidential candidate George W. Bush been able
to raise uncounted tens of millions of dollars? It can't be
because of his positions on the issues; he has scrupulously
avoided taking many. It can't be because of his knowledge of
world events; he thinks being asked such questions is a
trick." (He will embarrassingly lie, saying that he knows the
answer to a question, and half a sentence later admit that he
doesn't.)
No, George "I'm No Longer Drunk" Bush's support is
because the Bush family fortune is old, and it's big, and
comes from a century old alliance with the most powerful
interests on Wall Street and in industry. Worse, part of
Dub-a-Ya's money comes from grandfather Prescott Bush's
financial alliance with the Nazis. THE BUSH NAZI
