Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click

Anybody who thinks the suggestions I've made on this board
haven't been thought about carefully must be kidding.
I made a suggestion - that I should be paid - or given
total discretion to deal with my own needs without
interference.
I'm being careful - and right now - that means taking a
walk, and thinking about logical structure - what I can
actually hope to teach - and how - and balance.
If the CIA can't or won't find a way to pay me what Bill
Casey promised - they should get completely out of my
way - so that I can find similar compensation from another
source - perhaps Russia.
Obviously, when I'm thinking things through - America has
to come first. I'm not forgetting that.
I've made a number of requests and suggestions on this
board - every one of them, I've believed, orderly, symmetric,
and harmonious according to significant sorts.
It seems to me that the people who have had "very clear
reasons" to say no should think about what it would mean to
say yes.
We should be able to take the incidence of death,
agony, and dislocation from war way down. We ought not
to blow it.

I was taking a nap, and there was a call that I might have
wanted to take, had my wife put it through. She didn't. I have
an engagement tonight, but will be available in the morning,
and would appreciate a call back, if that seems right to the
person involved. Thanks.

Showalter - tangible v virtual
The difference between the tangible and the virtual can be
illustrated thus:
If someone has dollars and they share them ...
they have fewer dollars.
If someone has knowledge and wisdom and shares it ...
they still have the same knowledge and wisdom .... but ....
those they share it with gain and are enriched. I
thought you'd enjoy that Showalter.
Brings home the point that tangibles are often easier to
value and price than the intangibles ... how do you put a
price on wisdom? Showalter says that he's here to improve the
clarity and quality of thought processes - and in doing so,
knows he's saving thousands of lives worldwide - using the
virtual to assist the tangible!
~~~~~~
Warren Buffet has ace understanding of business process ...
he likes to buy into simple straight-forward companies
that work and function well. Seemingly has instant analytical
conceptual appreciation of the workings of the same.
In the simple company there's transparency. In the complex
company much is hidden - additionally to which - much may be
stolen and taken by the greedy and corrupt with shareholders
deceived.
That's why Whistle Blowers - in response to a universal gut
feeling of revolution with greed - were given credit this
year!
Finacial Times has a piece on EU and USA
Says that the
EU see USA as a country whose policies are 'SWUNG by
religion'
whereas the EU is SECULAR
I think he was aluding to the world view that the USA lives
in the biblical OLD TESTAMENT - that's 2000 years out of date
in it's thinking!
So how does the advanced world deal with retrograde America
... that's what they're trying to work out.
