    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

""(#12 of 91)

One thing is certain. The biggest losers in a terrorist campaign on Bali will be the Balinese. The island derives a significant amount of its income from tourism, and bombing tourists will rapidly reduce that income to nil. ""

Al_Q's economic theory would be interesting to see ... seems to be based on the UN Report re Arab Nations ... the race to be bottom of the pile.

Oil's spoilt little rich boys have
worldwide

Sent up the cost of :

    Insurance
    Freight & airPort security
    Fuel
Increased resources to health provision - physical treatment, and,
    psychological needs
Destroyed the economy of Bali (Indonesia)

Al_Q's economic theory is RED & doubly underlined

Energy conservation

Becoming less dependent on oil can happen - it requires an energy assessment.

How can energy be 'saved'

    Use less
    Use renewable
remove systems that unnecessarily burn up the earth.
