    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

'How much do you make?'...'Well I'd half to look at the books, but I think around $100 week'....wife-'You don't make $100 a week'...husband-'They can't prove that, we don't keep books'..

It's easy to taunt people that have lost their mind.
looneychic lives in austrailia, weighs 300lbs, and his real name is george johnson.

Earlier this summer, a top aide to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld outlined for his boss a concept for striking North Korea's weapons of mass destruction–a case study in the application of the Bush administration's new doctrine of pre-emptive military action. The hypothetical scenario envisioned a swift attack, carried out without consulting South Korea, America's ally on the peninsula. When word of the briefing spread, administration heavyweights, including Secretary of State Colin Powell and Adm. Thomas Fargo, commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific, worked to bury the scheme. - http://www.usnews.com/usnews/issue/021007/usnews/7strike.htm

No wonder real generals get sick of armchair wannabes.....the disdain that the uniformed brass harbors against the current occupants of the petangon are pretty legendary. I guess they don't even try to hide it anymore.

Toy soldiers, military games, video war games .... non of it real. Guys can grow-up in a world of material-things that are immaterial.

The mind of the male is said to be compartmentalised. He can focus on 'the game' without appreicating that 'the players' are real, are people, are human --- just as he is.

America is a violent society. The violent hand of 'order' is still within the chained mind-set.
Talkshow hostess revealed the 'need' in the usa for 'parenting' classes - 'how to behave' towards young children needs to be 'taught' and learnt.
The tools of war need to be 'taken out' of American society.
High death rates from 'homeland shootings'
High prison rates - disproportionate representation of minority cultures

Earth vs <^> <^> <^>

What a heart-warming story!!! So HOW IS your new member of the household, anyway? If your dogs have fleas then you no doubt know about Advantage. The vets tell people they can only get it through them...for $40/pack. I was shocked to see it advertized in the local farm supply store for $29.95!!! It's also available on the web for maybe even less!!! The only thing you have to know when getting the stuff is the animal's weight. It's the only remedy I've found that REALLY WORKS!!!

Regarding the Boeing 747/ABL system...I wonder what the reset period is for the laser. A 130 mile sub-IRBM would have a very short boost-phase and somewhat low trajectory. I wonder if the Boeing system could be easily overwhelmed by a barrage of such missiles???
