    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

ultimately TRUTH outs : TRUTH has to be morally forcing : build on TRUTH it's a strong foundation

The 'facts' are interpretations of fact.

... oh sorry Cantabb you were busy blueSTARgazing.

"Facts" and interpretation (often more than one) are two different things. Unless you want us to believe in your 'interpretation' of "FACTS."

[You do have to make an effort to search for them and find them FIRST, though. Unless they're also available from your neighborhood 'Fact Dispenser'. Just a thought !]

No problem. I thought YOU were supposed to be busy "ignoring" me.

Speaking Rshowalter [:)], when he's up from his nap, I just want him that he left our some details, citical to this thread, e.g:

(i) Was there anything for dessert, and, if any, what was it (ii) Who had what -- white or dark meat (and how many lbs turkey) and was it 'Butter-ball', and how much per pound? We know one was a vegan (iii) Did he pass out his Corpus CD to his guests ? and (iv) Did he ask them to mediate with a shivering in its shoes NYT ? Would be good if they could you.

Seems to me, by Nov 14, this thread may even surpass 20,000 posts -- He's resting up; her link machine is being geared up for one-last push...
