    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

What will you three Klan members do after the 14th?

Pray for rshow55/lchic and their dedicated follower, fred"irregardless"moore !

Wake up and READ my post 16996.

Nothing there !

Spot the alchoholic? A bit like the Three Shell game, only there could be two under there.

What the hell you're blabbering about ? Any connection here ?

Cantathink, there is NO hurt in opposing TYRANTS .... it is a DUTY ... as long as it doesn't take up too much time and I can have a bit of FUN.

"DUTY" like rshow55 and lchic feel. What "TYRANTS" ? For asking them to answer questions ? Asking the same question of them that they've been demanding (So insolently) of others, and harasssing other posters ?

I don't think you can have as much "FUN" as I have, putting you back in your barnyard-schoolyard everytime ! Or, watching you desperately foolishly try to cover up your deficiencies (CUYDs) pointed out to you. That's FUN ! Your name-calling ["Cantathink" etc] right from your very first post to me is just schoolyard stuff that never outgrew.

I wouldn't want it to be a full-time preoccupation like the never ending RShow crusade is for you .... now would I? Thought of doing some reading for comprehension courses?? It might cut some of the time you waste on these forums.

Didn't you know that it's been rshow/lchic full-time preoccupation for the past 3 years ? I arrived 7 weeks ago, and asked them questions they haven't YET answered. But it looks like YOUR full-time preoccupation to loyally defend them. Such loyalty, man's best friend might envy.

Don't get me wrong now, don't stop posting. I will defend even YOUR right to that priviledge .. or Adolph Hitler's or Saddam Hussein's ...........

You mean the "freedom of speech" American-style, understood and defended from a veld ? [God save us: Didn't YOU object to Letterman's 'freedom of speech' in my debate with you on "Science in the News" ! That discussiuon is still available -- TRY to CUYD there, now !]

May be it's NOT "Freedom" but "Fred-o-m" [ = 'Fred-o-m(oore) ],instead ?

fredmoore - 01:48pm Nov 9, 2003 EST (# 17011 of 17012)

Cantathink's 'Free Speech American Style' is No Free Speech at all. Except for him and Dave.

What's to learn.

You could re-learn from my exchanges with you on "SCience in the News"] http://forums.nytimes.com/webin/WebX?1@13.N8kBbahuWfY.0@.f2e4e35/1657 [my post referring to a Letterman joke/comment: #1489, May 16, 2003] that fredmoore responded to, and the exchange continued till

http://forums.nytimes.com/webin/WebX?1@13.N8kBbahuWfY.0@.f2e4e35/1738 [My post #1568, May 20, 2003].

Those interested can also click on the links to enjoy that exchange.

Sheesh talk about belaboured. Like I said this guy is a chook with it's head cut off .... sooner or later it's going to stop running around the barnyard and .... KFC.

This "chook" comment [a veld humor ?] also in Science in the News exchange !

bluestar23 - 02:09pm Nov 9, 2003 EST (# 17012 of 17013)

I was wondering this [fredmoore's reference to "KKK"] too....but if you look at the "K" posts, they mostly come after klsandfordo posts....which has first letter of "k"....it's all I can think of....

But trying to imply "klsanford" (also referred to as 'K' by someone) by such as stupid reference is outrageous.

He's blasbbering his ignorance -- about US affairs. See my "Science in News" exchange with him-- for "moore". Link provided.

Edited my post above !

Also NOTE his comment: "What will you three Klan members do after the 14th?" [emphasis added].

bluestar23 - 03:32pm Nov 9, 2003 EST (# 17017 of 17083)

Actually, what Showalter does after the 14th is what's interesting...I can't see him just folding the tent of World Peace with World Assets overnight.....bets he tries to find another NYT Forum, he's obsessed with them...some quiet, backwater Forum where nobody much posts....then to hold out there until eviction again by NYT...
