Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

self-esteem
self-actualization
are the zones that the NYT targets wrt it being a 'quality
broadsheet' and 'National Leader'
demonstrably through writers, many prize winning, who
assemble data/fact/info/knowledge - apply their particular
fusion process - to lift and further the cognitive tools of
readership

If the basic 'rent-money' from lower-level maslow activity
enables valued elitism
then NYT should have regard for the 'regular'
that enable advances in culture
----
It might ask itself re the importance of blanket common
provision for 'the people'
are they entitled to basics that additional to food, water,
shelter etc to a good standard at a reasonable economic cost
also include TRUTH, as in clarity to better enable progress

"WRCooper, : Seeking a meeting with rshow -- who in the
right mind would do that..."
Yes, you're right, it does seem a really weird thing to do,
to want to meet another poster, particularly over problems and
difficulties. The Guardian Talkboards do have "meet-ups", but
that's in relatively small England, and between posters who
have made "friends" for perhaps years over the Net, and now
want to meet for a beer,..that's understandable. Not this
Showalter meeting, which plays into his insanity, as he
apparently wants these meetings.

Yes, a good question. [about lchic’s
employer & real interest in the thread]…… it must be to
back up her "Universe Asset" rshow55....
She and rshow have been harassing other posters with such
questions – the forum knows more than it would ever
wanted/needed to know, but almost nothing about lchic’s
affiliation. So, I asked for some reciprocity, and that’s
too uncomfortable for her !
You just promoted her from “world” to “universe” – now you
can’t escape her !

If klsanford0 is paid to monitor Showalter on this thread -
who pay him?
