    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

ultimately TRUTH outs : TRUTH has to be morally forcing : build on TRUTH it's a strong foundation

low-level needs are composed of

physiological,

safety,

physical security needs

How much currency is generated (NYT) via attention to low level needs

would it include : Primary product, preparation of same, basic defense - shooting, and shelter .... on the wild-west model

Indeed said to include :

food, water, shelter, sex, and sleep

Nutbar lchic, has, for some reason, just posted a list of all the food banks, emergency shelters and other homeless services for "Hampshire" county....somewhere in USA, I guess....thanks so much, lchic....can you now post the homeless shelters in all the other communities in USA, too...?

Cantabb: Why do you bother "fisking" idiot lchic? She rather obviously has no mind....no mental ability at all. If possible, (and in her own way) she is as bad as Showalter....in some respects worse...best left alone to screech at nothing until this Forum shuts down....

May I say, 'entertaining' in a way. I don't mind putting a little needle to her/rshow's hot-air balloons. Then, they go through a 'spin' cycle and blame others for getting them "spun dry" and "mangled." Justifying all the time why this vehicle for their personal convenience hsdn't been shut down longtime ago (or hadn't been closely moderated).

WRCooper fancies himself quite the little "intellectual"; such people are almost too easy to make fun of, as they take their laughable "thoughts" so seriously...

"In re" WRCooper, his flip-flops are amusing: Seeking a meeting with rshow -- who in the right mind would do that -- and then regretting it; "Ignoring" posters, justifying it, and then undoing it at an appropriate time -- 'ignore' the fact that the contentions are just as fierce, if not more than when he decided to "ignore" supposedly to avoid the same kind of rough-and-tumble.

Wee an entity such as NYT to ask

'What business are we in?'

It is basically in the business of reporting on people in relation to the Maslow bandings.

The basics are often left to the local zone to cover .... hence foodbanks, emergency shelters, and homelessness .... don't get much coverage - except as comment at the political strategy level.

And yet - real-estate information-exchange is a cash-cow.

physiological,

safety,

love,

self-esteem,

self-actualization

(Maslow's pyramid).
