Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

As the Bard gracefully put it: Parting is such sweet
sorrow.
And for the current state of MD Forum play ... a farewell
allegory.
(The names have been changed to protect the innocent and
the delusional.)
>>>A Bra, a wig and a set of jumper
leads entered the MD Forum. The wig tried to post and the
moderator said "You can'tab post here any more".
>>"Why is that?" said the wig.
>>The moderator replied, "To begin
with, you're off your head, she's (the bra) off her t*ts,
and that other fool Cantathinkofanythingofhisown
(jumper leads) looks like he's about to start something."
To Cantathinkofanythingofhisown's inevitable irrelevant and
inconsequential reply may I just simply say: go and get
shorted. I don't feel compelled to waste any time on further
replies to dim-witted taunts.
To Rshow and Lchic may I say, this is only an allegory for
humour and does not reflect the positive way I have come to
feel about you both.
I think that the closure of this forum is a sad day for
free speech (filibusters included) and it highlights that some
peoples' version of 'free speech American style' is NO FREE
SPEECH AT ALL (unless you are a talk show host, a media baron
or a politician).
Further, I note that a recent article:
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/04/science/earth/04ENER.html
touches on the concept of Alternative Energy development
programs. So KAEP is getting some attention. It is a shame
that the concepts discussed are so short sighted and blinkered
to a US only viewpoint. Alternative Energy must be about ALL
nations and involve engineered wetland technology in order to
be sustainable. KAEP put's the ball past the post!
TOUCHDOWN.

It will be her birthday in a few days.
Happy B-day kiki. [In case we get shutdown early]
