    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Bluestar23:

Did you give your NAME, RANK and SERIAL NUMBER to the commandant yet ?

My ignorance: Is a commandant supposed to provide us her name, affilation, employer, contact information ?

May be not -- being a 'commandant' ! Commandants ONLY ask questions ?

So terribly rude of me, I DID ask her to provide this information in her NEXT post -- but haven't seen it yet? Please watch if she EVER does !

"showalter will make a brand new start of it.."

Yes, I'm sure he will, somewhere....but if his new threads are just himself, it's boring to read.....
