Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

It was, in short, a bit like hitting a tethered chicken.

Really, too funny, Mr. Moore.....you stand
in favour of this terrible Forum abuse, shame on you. You
contribute nothing whatsoever of value to any MD
discussion...you bring NOTHING to the table. You show up
only to attack Cantabb...best not to contribute at all if
that's all you can do. If you can't think of better
"Leaders" than persons who are mentally-ill, then you're in
pretty bad shape.
He [fred "Irregardless" moore] can't help it,
bluestar !
Started this with me on 'Science in the News' long before
before I came to MD. His veld-appreciation of 'freedom of
speech' American-style was equally ridiculuous.

A test of the missile system on July 14 succeeded in
intercepting its target, but the system that was supposed to
confirm that the warhead had been destroyed froze when it was
unable to process the large amount of data created by debris
from the collision. "The system locked up, like your computer
at home," http://www.thedubyareport.com/missile1.html

"I will just concentrate on posting more on the application
of thermodynamic principles to future defence postures "
As a military historian, outside of mere technical issues
such as tthe chemical properties of say, gunpowder, I would
appreciate to hear how these laws of "thermodynamics" apply to
military "postures"..please explain precisely....

You can post all you want, lchic, but you can't take the
place of rshow55, and he's "crapped out" so to speak.....your
trying to carry on alone is doomed to defeat....

Oh! I must have touched his raw nerve again.
Diddums.
Parroting again. Obviously, still hurting !
Other than digging yourself in a barnyard, you haven't done
a thing yet (even in your barn).
He's in the barnyard now
He's in the barnyard now
wasn't he there all the time
trying to milk a cow?
Can't do, even if you teach him* how
