Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

blue you omitted the word 'rich' ... you could have said
she's a 'rich liar'
to which one could have responded
'That's rich ... coming from a guy like you'

Dowd's bread and butter ... or would blue say 'cake' ... is
satire
(a.) A composition, generally poetical,
holding up vice or folly to reprobation; a keen or severe
exposure of what in public or private morals deserves rebuke;
an invective poem; as, the Satires of Juvenal.
(a.) Keeness and severity of remark; caustic exposure to
reprobation; trenchant wit; sarcasm.

Implies that a holistic knowledge is first required ...
afterwhich Dowd would go on to laser-in on a part - then work
it.

Dowdification
Used as noun or verb. The willful omission of one or more
words so the meaning of the statement is no longer understood
but that the statement suits the needs of the writer in
launching an ad hominem attack whether or not the construction
is truthful or grammatically complete.
Named after the practice used by journalist Maureen Dowd
(both the term and the practice are often found in the
Blogopshere)

I see an achievement bet on the board
You see a lot of things....
Cantabb's saying 'were Showlater permitted
to function - he can't'
Showalter's saying ' were he permitted to
function - he can'
First, IF you want to quote me, quote me FULLY and in
context. Give post #.
Unless you do that, I'll focus only on the claim he has
made:
The key is "permitted to function" ? Who has stopped him
from functioning, who has put him in "house arrest," as he
claims ? And, why does he need a permission to function ? Even
if he does need it, what's that got to do with NYT and this
thread ?
Where's the evidence that can be verified ? He hasn't put
up any YET ?
Do you, his loyal defender, have it ? If so, post it
!

Don't you remember when she left out a crucial part of a
Bush speech in order to misrepresent him..? It was widely
reported and one paper dropped her column...
