    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

The (NONprince) saudi's ... that's the real people, have staged demo's in the streets demanding democratic change.

They say that the democratic will challenge the AUTHORITY and POWER of the princes.

-----

Meantime some Saudi Princes are busy funding terrorism down the line arriving at a rote-mosque-school near you, you, and you sometime soon.

Moving away from OIL fuels was quoted in 'The Australian' as a way of removing the Terrorist-Promoting-Powers of these -- the fundamentally-wrong.

The vocabulary of the rote-schools of terror might be rounded up, collected and traded in for the vocabulary of future peace .... this would include words and phrases such as ....

over to you

DOWD did, as usual, a brilliant piece - op-ed today.

What she was saying suggests that the GUT FEELING of the person in the street ... contrasts with the utterances of the resident of casa-blanca.

Lchic:

You're back...but so am I ...why don't you stop posting your off-topic swill and get lost...?

"she was saying suggests that the GUT FEELING of the person in the street.."

Dowd has NO idea of the "person in the street" as she is a rich, insulated lady...

On Dowd -

NY Times Pulitzer-winning hit woman, Maureen Dowd

Burton didn't even know all the vagaries of the 1911 law being used for this recall until a few days ago. When Maureen Dowd's laser satire turns from the White House to you, you know you're in trouble. http://www.g21.net/index362.html

It must be the Maureen Dowd effect. From here on out everyone must have a little nickname, preferably nasty, if they're on your list of naughty boys and girls. Yawn.

Oh, you can take my response to a Dowd column and use it to judge my soul. How discerning of you.

Maureen Dowd--When she's good, she's very good

Is this what you mean re NYT being a top publication RS?

She even MD's it

" Dowd's laser satire "
