    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

"An expensive system that does NOT work for the intended purpose is just foolishness..."

It better not to work... giving the intended purpose as I see it.

Don't understand why for a simple clarification? We've already seen a lot of re-hash.

You think "It better not to work... giving the intended purpose as I see it" is CLEAR enough ?

Well, it looks like another nice day on the Forum has ended. I'll see you-all tomorrow, when perhaps Mr. Showalter will have the answer for us that the New York Times has given him...

Alarmist200x is from slovokia.

ultimately TRUTH outs : TRUTH has to be morally forcing : build on TRUTH it's a strong foundation

Cantabulator ... Alex is saying there's a culture to this board ... you're a newby here ... that's why you're raking the ashes to parse together the dots and the dashes.

What he said was ... Let the NUKES fail - GOOD!

If they succeed the world will be blown to pieces ... if those in control ... aren't whole!
