    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

I don't know what rshow55, lchic or cantabb write, and I don't care, so please don't relay to me any of their responses to anything I write. Thanks.

What I fear is that their maddeningly off-topic and sometimes loony or angry posts will deter others from joing our conversation. That's the problem. People take one look at a Showalter post or an angry cantabb rebuttal to a Showalter post, and that's the last time they'll ever visit the forum. We'll thereby lose potentially valuable contributors.

I hope everyone will put these posters on their "Ignore Posts list". That way, they can easily skim to posts that try to address the issues intended for the foru. That's IMHO.

Cheers.

Oops

That's "joining", not "joing".

TRUTH outs in the end : TRUTH has to be morally forcing : build on TRUTH it's a strong foundation

Meaty subject ... TRUTH .... (Cantabb asked for more explanation)

-----

The meaning of my words on truth will vary according to the outlook of any virtual reader - readers bring themselves to the page.

______

In the UK the Government was LYING to the people re Mad Cow disease .. sensing this, there was a gut-wave reaction against the lying and people wanted 'truth'. The UK government had to back down.

-----

Adolf Hitler; "Good lies need a leavening of truth to make them palatable."

Adolf Hitler; "What luck for the rulers that men do not think."

______

The cold war (pretext for military build-ups) was built on lies and propaganda -- it's said not to be over.

----

Recently GWB was made to acknowledge (correct the lie) that an ME country was not linked to the TwinTowers incident. Shortly afterwards GWB went back to the retoric that it was. That neither he (nor his wordsmith Carl ROVE) didn't recall a major speech might be reflected by Bush being less favoured in recent polls.

------

That truth needs to be morally forcing implies that lies - or failure to accept findings that can be implemented as improved process - are a dis-service to mankind and may result in unnecessary deaths.

Cantabb -- why not meet up with Cooper -- as did Showalter.

Showalter travelled from Madison to Chicago to meet this guy ... and met him in the well lit public venue of an Art Gallery Setting.

Cooper said 'he was from Chicago' ..... but .... Mazza recently said that Showalter had caused Cooper to have to travel to Chicago --- and these guys say they communicate additional to the board.

Which raises the question was Cooper or Mazza lying?

After this meeting Cooper said he would NOT post on the MD board - again. He's back.
