Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Mere verbiage -- dismissed before:
Sometimes - for basic human reasons - and
logical reasons - it is useful to switch between different
perspectives - construct a shared space by comparing notes
about comparison and contrast.
May be “reasons” that sound “logical” to you – and that
doesn’t say or amount to much, does it ?
One can STILL ‘switch’ between perspectives on THE SAME
specific issue, if one were focused and wanted to make a
rational point. This gobbledygook doesn’t even make sense.
And, why worry ?
That's ordinary human behavior - but is goes
wrong in perverse ways – and people get into fights.
Not quite. Perhaps it shows the perverse ways in
which whatever is meant by “ordinary humans behavior” does go
wrong !
Are you still imagining your teen-year “fights” ? Nice
coincidence that one of your loyal supporters also can’t get
out of the school yard – even though he seems to seen light
(only partially and just recently) and now, under some recent
pressure, is desperately trying to go on-topic – something he
rarely ever did before. [I’d call the pressure, a service to
the forum at least in this case, if he tries to leave his
school yard behind. ]
I was assigned to sort out how the fights
happened - and how to reduce their incidence.
You’re NOT talking about being “assigned” to do it here on
NYT’s MD forum , are you ? You think “fights" don’t happen on
other forums ?

The notions that people are able to use
well, or at all, are characterized by patterns of order,
symmettry, and fit to purpose (harmony) - and practically
always what orders, relates, and fits in one way does not in
most others. So you can always get into a fight about
anything you choose. OR You can choose to construct more
"shared space" - and actually build it. UNLESS Someone wants
to fight.
Anything to do with MD science & related issues ?
Specifically ? Or, are you re-visiting your teen-year fighting
?

Why do people - in general and specifically
- want to fight? ….
You gonna tell us again, right ? Still re-living your
teen-year fighting ?
What's cheating? is a very good question -
and it needs to be answered in ways that fit real human
needs and vulnerabilities.
Ahem, to change the subject ?
