    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

"Statements on frequently important subjects are interesting." -rshow55

he might be too crazy for them too....

Too crazy for Madtown??? That's a scary thought. I wonder how that happened. He must have gotten exposed and understood.

~~~~ It got understood and exposed ~~~~
Showalter - Excellent Postings
    Ignore the 'non-contributary' right of right 'right wingers', as in Yesterday's Yesterday-Men, rock throwing ... a sign of their desparation ... pity they don't put the energy they're using into getting the world back on track!
"managed to post 20,000 times on the guardian all in May'"
Ha!....I doubt even Showalter can manage that...
" rock throwing ... a sign of their desparation..."
She may be onto something....surely reams of Showalter's laughable Drivel, with no sign of NYT Mods., could drive anyone to "desparation"...
This from the Amen corner !
Ignore the 'non-contributary' right of right 'right wingers', as in Yesterday's Yesterday-Men, rock throwing ... a sign of their desparation ...
Looks like he doesn't want to "ignore," even though you told him and taught him how.
Is SLOP considered 'contributory' ? To the Forum topic ? Repeating it thousand times, MORE "contributory" ? Childish, faux-Zen conundrums on some minutae far off-topic ARE more "contributory" ???
pity they don't put the energy they're using into getting the world back on track!
Shame that those who say they are and have been working so hard and long on "getting the world back on track," are SO clueless, and can't even find the 'tracks' in the quick sand they have been looking in for 2+years.
The so-called "contributors" can't even tell what the heck they've been work so hard on and what have they accomplished.
ASKING questions is "non-contriburory" ? Dodging questions on the very basics "contributory" ?
Just one thing, I agree with you on: "It got understood and exposed."
He ain't got clothes ! And, doesn't like getting wet.
To "non-contributory" bluestar23 :
The link you posted to rshow's Casablanca has some real gems. Though a lot of transAtlantic trafficking. Check out some of 'these gems'; I just spot- "checked" :-)
bluestar23 - 05:31pm Oct 6, 2003 EST (# 14438 of 14457)
Unfortunately, rshow55 is convinced his Mathematics training is a research background for his "work" on the thread...why should this be...? rshow55 has shown no sign that he understands even the basics of MD technology, which others of us have troubled to learn....rshow55's training as a mathematics guy is no more relevant than anyone else's training here.....
bluestar23 - 05:33pm Oct 6, 2003 EST (# 14439 of 14457)
"The link you posted to rshow's Casablanca has some real gems."
We have to thank rshow55's work as a collator for the ease of finding hilarious statements by him....
