    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

See what is dragged in here from the school-yard !

Don't ask why Johnny can't read; Ask if Johnny can play in the yard !

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread.

A lot of posts since I was out. Saw Howard Dean at U.W. Madison. Big crowd - they say 5000 people - and a pretty good speech.

Dean didn't talk about missile defense - but he did talk about ahem , "intentional deceptions."

The crowd ate it up.

Moderators and Forumites, here's an example of rshow55's thread hijacking of Guardian Newspapers...hundreds of posts...not one post by anyone BUT Showalter....

http://talk.guardian.co.uk/WebX?50@@.ee7a163/481

the work of a Lunatic.....

Just 446 posts in the past 3 years [since October 2000] ? I AM disappointed !

[I see most are re-hashed and recycled from NYT: cross Atlantic trafficking !]

You're right, bluestar: ANOTHER monologue there. No end to it when you can keep putting up your straw men !

bluestar23 - 06:15pm Oct 5, 2003 EST (# 14351 of 14353)

Showalter (rshow55) on the Guardian Talkboard, hijacking again....:

"There have been about 290 postings on the NYT Missile Defense forum since I last posted here - and I've felt under pressure there."

At least he can count. Besides just filing, retrieving and posting, posting and posting [according to "Loop Test"].

Awww, under pressure ? Two simple, basic questions can cause that ?

Or, trying to evade them does it ?

I recall seeing a long 'discussion' on a typical lchic question: "Does emperor have clothes?"

Does her "emperor" have any ?

"I deeply appreciate the Guardian Talk boards, and the chance to post here."

He "deeply appreciates" every thing, everywhere: NYT for NYT Forum; says the same to various posters etc. Deeply appreciative person !

I asked him a few times here, how about SHOWING his "appreciation" for the Forum purpose and the posting privilege here ! Has NOT seen any !

Showalter's "under pressure" here, eh...? good for Cantabb....

Yeah, sure, lay it on cantabb -- for asking inconvenient questions ! And seeking an answer !
