    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Does it mean: Do NOT ask inconvenient questions ?

Another faux-Zen riddle ?

This MAY be the way it's done in chat rooms. But how can such a chat-room preference prevent anyone (igored or not) from commenting on what they like to comment on ?

Glad you're keeping a TAB on it and posting on what you are "ignoring." That should keep you occupied. Please continue ...

Has your ID been estasblished yet ?

IF not, how about "Karl Rove" ?

Don't like it, pick another name from the hat.

It seems this is "basic" and "valid" for participation in the Forum.

Give it up, jorian !

Wehaven't seen you & Karl R together either. Ummm ?

"Quae cum ita sunt" Caesar's Gallic Commentaries

"Zelig" was on the cable last night.

Zelig = Robert.

Robert = LChic.

Therefore Zelig = GWBush!

(We have Twisted Sister, Twisted Logic and Twisted Robert)

Ergo: I'm Confused!

Moderators and Forumites, here's an example of rshow55's thread hijacking of Guardian Newspapers...hundreds of posts...not one post by anyone BUT Showalter....

http://talk.guardian.co.uk/WebX?50@@.ee7a163/481

the work of a Lunatic.....

bluestar23 - 06:15pm Oct 5, 2003 EST (# 14351 of 14369)

Showalter (rshow55) on the Guardian Talkboard, hijacking again....:

"There have been about 290 postings on the NYT Missile Defense forum since I last posted here - and I've felt under pressure there."

"I deeply appreciate the Guardian Talk boards, and the chance to post here."

Showalter's "under pressure" here, eh...? good for Cantabb....
