    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Cantabb - I haven't got you on "ignore" exactly - but I am dealing with your (often boring) posts in a batched way.

I know. Despite, as you said, a suggestion to you by your esteemed collaborator, lchic.

Looking for themes - motivations - patterns - counting cases. There are enough of them that one can look at what matters to you at the level of statistics -and discourse, too. Do loop tests to find consistencies. Wonder about what changes in the postings - and what doesn't.

LOOK for ANSWERS, instead. Answers to two simple questions asked repeatedly on your activities and your claims for the past 2+years on MD forum.

Rest is just looking for a way to wriggle out of them through a self-created mass of irrelevancies.

There have been 182 posting "by Cantabb" since September 17th - - none before. http://www.mrshowalter.net/Cantabb_Srch_to10_4.htm

Very helpful for those interested to see in one place, rather than going through pages.

DID you include your own Posts during the same period ??? And their number ?

I think people at different stages Piaget discusses in The Moral Judgement of the Child might have different judgements on what Cantabb is doing - and how his work is and is not "cheating."

ASKING you questions, pressing you for answers is not "cheating" !

Is this the kind of logic you have been talking about, taking pride in ?

For myself - I think he's degrading himself and his employer - but his moral indignation makes it clear he disagrees.

ALL that because I've ASKED you questions you still can NOT answer ? Is this what you call "logic" ?

Since you can't seem to focus and your other supporters seem to know, I've asked them to at least define it [if you can not], including your esteemed collaborator, lchic. But with same results.

"[D]egrading himself and his employer" ?? Back to your poster identification and conspiracies ? Your continued paranoia !

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread.

You don't like questions about who poster are, do you.

By now, they are basic and valid questions.

weird, eh...? [rshow55 collecting MY posts in ONE link]. but typical...

Well, this is THE thing he likes to do: Search, File, Retrieve and Post, POST [ad nauseam]. Don't ask why ? or What he has done with it ? All for his "corpus."

soon you'll become V. Putin or someone appropriately nasty.....showalter has also hijacked a thread on Guardian Newspapers in Britain...

Well, that has already started. He's "searching" me; attaching motives; personal characterizations: "[D]egrading himself and his employer," "cheating," etc. His growing paranoia !

thousands of posts...and not one from Anyone Other Than Showalter...he doesn't even need us, to tell the truth....he's mentally ill and must be removed from posting....

He can start it by himself and continue arguing with himself on the 'strawmen' he creates.

Then, there is this "Mutt-and-Jeff" routine (well co-ordinasted with his esteemed collaborator and "world asset," lchic). Rephrasing her, Does her "emperor" have clothes ????
