Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?
"Do you not understand what the ignore poster option is
for?"
sorry, showalter's abuse of the forum goes well beyond me
trying to use "ignore" function, what the hell are you talking
about??? He has totally hijacked the thread, there is no
thread...
An interesting point was recently made regarding Eastern
Block - Military Sales.
$5bn is the current value to the Russian Economy.
In the Cold War, sales were formally made to Communist
Countries, whereas today Russia promotes it's value for money
military wares globally and with some success.
Voices of concern are raised within Russia that they are
better equipping neighbouring countries including former
invaders, than they themselves.
Interesting how military sales dominate the economies of
Russia, Britain, the USA. Goods that in their misuse and
longerterm retirement are never full factored into world
holistic accounting models.

'Ignore' (see preferences button) can be used to take out
monikers that are non-contributory to the header above in
either the narrow or wider senses. It's a useful device - I'm
employing it currently.

Why and the hell would anyone want more
proof of showalter's gibberish?
Do you not understand what the ignore poster
option is for?
A p[ewrsonal choice. YOU may want to use that option !
Others think differently.
Though "ignore" has been a favorite option of some (though
rarely exercised by most of them), it'll be naive to think
that "ignoring' something would make it wither and disappear.
Those who believe that 'repetition makes its true, sooner
or later' and have been abusing a public forum for their dirty
laundry and unsubstantiated charges and associations (CIA,
DDE, Casey et al), use 'silence' to highjack a public forum !
I've watched the Forum for sometime. Appalled at times at
how some forum 'regulars' not only engaged in perpetuating
this digression (poster identity, conbspiracy theories and
inane generalities) but have also encouraged the slop this
long.
Some have a Messiah complex !!! And challengers are ? Pick
your choice [executioner, etc].
