    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Well I usually call him cantadd, but I like cantabelle.

Remember on 'genetically modified food, is it good, is it bad, who the hell cares?' forum where cantabelle would spew forth post after post of forum gossip and gibberish?

To see cantabelle proclaiming indignation with someone else's slop is hilarious.

Keep up the good anti-slop campaign, cantabelle.

Cantabelle is a chook that pecks and pecks ... till they ... oops ....... do you really think NYT has overlooked this forum and 14000 odd posts bird brain?

"Days may be numbered !"

Tell us when you get to 100 Cassandrabelle.

Log a few more complaints!

Mind you, as I have said, I do feel some closure has finally been reached here thanks to Gisterme, Jorian, Lou, Will and others. Your last minute appearance would seem to be somewhat calculated and disingenuous.

Back to juvenile, chat room things. Right ?

At least ALL were on GM food, the forum topic. NOT personal angst, or "gossip and gibberish" you see here.

To see cantabelle proclaiming indignation with someone else's slop is hilarious.

You must NOT recall GM Forum well. There were intense, focused debates on GM forum, with some poster still posting on other forums.

Keep up the good anti-slop campaign, cantabelle.

Are you going to continue the juvenilia, or will have anything on-topic to post ?

Back to juvenile, chat room, behavior ? A la DownUnder ?

You mean 13,700+ 'bird brain' posts ?

You MUST really like the 'bird brain' posts then !

Mind you, as I have said, I do feel some closure has finally been reached here thanks to Gisterme, Jorian, Lou, Will and others. Your last minute appearance would seem to be somewhat calculated and disingenuous.

Makes NO sense.

What closure ?

'Calculated and disingenuous'? Look up the dictionary.

You mean ASKING to see this forum IS and remains on-topic ?

What else can we expect from those who haven't gone out of the school-yard yet.

One of the markers of cantabelleism, is that he will take a meaningless post, and repost it , line by line, adding his commentary.

He can continue this type of dialog, months at a time, for literally, hundreds of posts.

When's showalter, due back?

It IS for your benefit. Specific response to specific comments. NOT just ramblings !

He can continue this type of dialog, months at a time, for literally, hundreds of posts.

But CAN you ?

When's showalter, due back?

Ask him !
