    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Friendly Shots on Australia from North Korean 'Government'

"" A diplomatic row has erupted between Australia and North Korea.

The Foreign Minister Alexander Downer says Australia has concerns about possible links between the North Korean Government and a boat recently seized off Australia's coast, carrying a massive amount of heroin.

The Foreign Affairs department called in the North Korean ambassador this morning.

A spokesman for Mr Downer says Australia has registered strong concern and dismay over the ship - the Pong Su.

Mr Downer will not go into detail, but notes that as North Korea is a communist country, all assets including the ship are owned by the North Korean government.

"The ship is North Korean-owned, North Korea is a socialist state. There is no private enterprise in North Korea," Mr Downer said.

"We understand there was a member of the Korean Worker's Party on board the ship, one of the senior officials from the Korean Workers Party was on the ship.

"We are very concerned that there could be any associatorion between North Korea and drug-trafficking in order to raise money."

Opposition Foreign Affairs spokesman Kevin Rudd says if the evidence is strong enough, Australia should act.

"My position is that the North Korean ambassador should be expelled," he said.

Wackospammer punk is desperate to get more hits on his site because he is being paid by BMG music (a rippoff outfit in my unfortunate experience) and amazon.com on a per-hit basis. So he comes here regularly trying to drum up business. I am sure that 99% of his traffic is generated by those who are morbidly fascinated by wackoism - like driving by an intellectual train-wreck, unable to look away.
