Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Pvt Lynch has a fractal of her spine but the surgery went
well. Now there's a real hero. She volunteered to military
service and knows what she's all about. I wonder if the
Katzenjammer kids, (Rshow, Alum, and teenie chic) have as much
gumption. More likely Gump sons!

One of the serious disagreements I have with many who
critique this war blaimnig all what is wrong on Bush and his
Administration.
As I pointed out more then once, I follow the US foreign
policy very closely since Kosovo. And see no real difference
except in tactical details.
Already then I poined out that such a policy will require
significant loss of liberties at home.

Can you point where your thong ends and gumption begins?

Iraq: RSF presses for inquiry into TV station raid.
Reporters Sans Frontières (RSF) has called for an
international investigation into the bombing by US-British
coalition forces of Iraqi state TV in Baghdad as a possible
violation of international humanitarian law.
The press freedom watchdog's call to the International
Humanitarian Fact-Finding Commission is the first such
petition it will have received. Set up in 1991 under the First
Additional Protocol of the Geneva Conventions, its role is to
investigate any alleged serious violation of international
humanitarian law.
"A media outlet cannot be a military target under
international law and its equipment and installations are
civilian property protected as such under the Geneva
Conventions," said RSF General Secretary Robert Ménard.
"Only an objective and impartial enquiry can determine
whether or not the Conventions have been violated."

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click
"rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for
on this thread.
Some analogies (most, in fact) are useful at some levels of
structure - but imperfect. Personally, though I think a lot of
hopeful things are happening, if we keep our heads. If I were
playing "wizard's chess" - I might be worried, but I think I'd
be pretty confident.
I feel like responding to Mazza's last posting.
