    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Interesting .. BritTaxPayers are having to subsidise BritsRichest man .. whose daughter in turn uses the wealth to subsidies the truth-seekers of the USA ... the long hard winding road to integrity paid for by the low income BritFactory worker - see for yourselves ...

One of Sigrid's beneficiaries has been the American Centre for Public Integrity. It is not known whether her father realises that last year this group of investigative reporters produced an exposé of how the US was losing billions of dollars because of tax avoidance by the super-rich.

A large number of the arrested Palestinians are being
held under military law in heavily guarded Israeli detention centres without being charged or allowed access to lawyers.
Begs the question - what exactly is 'military law'? Camp X-ray stuff?

.... Israel has long used torture against Palestinian prisoners, but an Israeli Supreme Court ruling in September 1999 specifically outlawed most methods being used, except in emergencies in which civilian lives were at stake. Lior Yavne, a spokesman for B'Tselem, said breaking of toes was outlawed under most laws and conventions.
B'Tselem filed a petition with the court demanding an end to torture of detainees and allowing the prisoners access to lawyers. The court set a hearing for Sunday to consider the petition. ...

There is always a core of 'regular' decent people in all societies ... and then there are politicians!

In his remarks on the Middle East situation on Thursday, President Bush said, "Israel should show a respect, a respect for and concern about the dignity of the Palestinian people. It is crucial to distinguish between the terrorists and the ordinary Palestinians seeking to provide for their own families." Bush said soldiers at checkpoints should "be compassionate" and spare innocent Palestinians "daily humiliation."
How come Bushie doesn't use the correct term 'Freedom Fighter' - Doesn't he have a book of military-law etiquette?

lchic:

I saw the picture of the latest "freedom fighter". He detonated early, (too bad), and was splattered all over a one block area. May all so called freedom fighters achieve such an end. The innocent men, women and children can be spared his/her freedom urges and he/she can rot in hell!

mAzzA - were an area of your country invaded - then you'd expect your people to do whatever they had to to restore the status quo ...

Palestinians have had a bad-repressive deal .. and they'll do what they have to do .. so that the International crowd 'look' and hopefully 'act'.

mAzzA's looking!

The lies regarding the so called Palestinian state have been propogated like just so much propoganda. The UN resolution that established the state of Israel has been ignored. The Arab world has fought and lost 4 wars in the last 50 years.

So now the Arabs resort to aiming suicidal hatemongers at the Jewish state. The Arabs have transformed the sayings of Jesus from, "The meek shall inherit the world" to "The weak shall blow up everyone and take over the world."

If all the Palestinians would promise, I say let's give them all the C-4 they need to enter paradise. Say, Do Lesbian freedom fighters get their quota of virgins?

The United States is a country which honors the rule of law. Yes we're imperfect but at least we try to have rules and follow them. There is NO justification for crashing civilian airliners into the WTC nor blowing up people at a religious setting, (the Seder massacre). We Americans will hoot and holler over a blown football call or strike or ball in a baseball game. But guess what? We do have referees, umpires and judges.

Your value system and soul is warped and black. Your postings show a degree of hate for your fellow man that is frightening. Why are you anti semetic? Why are you so bitter, blighted and bellicose?

If the world is so bad why don't you strap on some C-4 and come looking for me? You're pathetic. Have a nice night!!
