Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

By my observation we are vitnessing the Neo-Mongolian
conquest. They too had a superior military. And not lesser
ruthlessness.

opinion but not his own facts.

"The gene… leaps from body to body down the generations,
manipulating body after body in its own way and for its

lchic, this Selfish Gene hypothesis sounds like
Dawkins is attributing some sort of consciousness or
intelligence or self-determination to these little molecular
assemblages we call genes. I haven't read the past 10,000
postings in this forum, but what is your position on Dawkins'
view... or on this method of expressing it?

Gingus Khan along with Mongolian horsemen - a then superior
mode of transportation were a ruthless bunch.
They terrorised Eurasia.
They plundered and took
BUT
They didn't 'build'
If eventually there was nothing to plunder, or, others had
the new horse technology and could resist ... then those days
of Mongolian Empire were over.

These blood banks of the Middle East have been slow to move
from pipeline economy to modernity ... the transition is
happening - slowly.
Just as the plunder strategy of Gingus Khan became
outmoded, so too, the failure to Nation-build a humanitarian
secular economy that meets the needs of all within national
boundaries.

Robert,
" Shamanism is one of the more interesting religions in
Mongolia. "
It appears it may be a CIA religion as well. I saw on SKY
News yesterday an interview with a former CIA 'op' in which he
said that they believed Saddam was into 'channeling' and that
they suspected he may have connections with the ancient
Babylonian king, Nebuchanezer. He mentioned that they were
reading up on their ancient history to see if their were any
clues as to Saddams behaviour. He said that Saddam was a
brilliant strategist and worth standing back to look at.
With your knowledge of the CIA, what is your take on this?
Out.

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click

on this thread.
I've heard it said that certain bureaucrats have suffered
from "an extreme juxtaposition of their bodily parts" .
. . and in addition to muddle, stupidity and deception - there
are some very mixed motives, too.
