Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

A number of things need to be sorted out, for decency and the safety of the world.

American hysteria still runs high - - and, for a little while, the military can do no wrong.

All the same, the missile defense boondoggle ought to be checked . . . because, to understand the extent of the mess would be to understand how badly things have gone, and how corruptly in key ways they have gone, since the FAREWELL ADDRESS of President Dwight D. Eisenhower January 17, 1961.

The things Eisenhower warned against have happened. We need to fix them. It is dangerous not to.

Moving the senario along ... all the refugees displaced everywhere by bad foreign policies worldwide - what if they brought class actions?! Would Nation States survive?

One can be sure laws are tied up so this can't happen to people-products .. only inamimate manufactured product.

I have a major in History, minor in Political Science and an MBA in Finance. Why don't we talk about American's entry into the Spanish American War and the effect it had on missile defense? Say, why don't we index this site and prove once and for all that meaningless drivel is the be all end all of intellectual discourse.

There's enough hot air here to lift the global warming forum to new heights! Oh, but that's a scientific discussion and that is not what this site is all about. Right Scott?

In a multiply constrained situation, there aren't many possible solutions. I've felt, for a while, that the following proposal would be part of one such solution.
