    Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

Whilst you may feel it is very witty & clever to trivialise the word "Crusade"! To the Islamic community for George W to declare the "Crusade" that being the Christian Jihad or 'Holy War' to regain the Holy Land moreover to the Muslims the crusades were their Holocaust that lasted for some 300 years? Indeed such ill timed and poor quality statements at this time, just confirm the teachings of the likes of Hamas, PLO and Osama bin Laden as well as every radical Islamic group as to American Imperialism and the US’s global domination aspirations with particularity toward Palestine.....

I hope and pray George W did not mean Holy War but to pursue vigourously? Sadly no one from the White House or State department has clarified hence even moderate clerics are now accepting that it is as read the Christain Holy War to regain the Holy Land?

The battle against terrorists is also a battle for hearts and minds; hence is it little wonder that the multi Nation support has started to crumble because so much has been said that so many nations even in the West can no longer be associated with?

Who or whom is co-ordinating statements and speeches! It is very clear no one? Well there needs to be one! As there was in the Gulf War that is why ME moderate states and most Countries remained unconditional allies?

Bush is an idiot.

NMD will be a true disaster, igniting a world arms race, this terrorist incident will be forgotten in time, as countries make new alliances against the U.S.

This terrorist incident should not be forgotten. Wrenchingly ugly as it is, it is only a pinprick, compared to what is likely to happen unless people show better sense.

As, it seems to me, they seem to be doing now.

I think Dawn Riley's postings here are breathtakingly beautiful !

Sometimes, stressed and afraid as I am, I forget to smile, I forget about beauty.

She saves me from that.

And a sense of beauty, of aesthetics, is important, so that the world can go on.
