Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

On the adult men (as opposed to teenagers usually used as suicide bombers) a question to ask is this:

What was happening in their environment when they were in the polarised plastic brained teenage development years ... did they have a peaceful childhood -- or where they in war zones - physical or psychological - that haven't yet ended?

We have massive failures of "the Golden Rule" here, people aren't dealing with each other as people.

There may be "no reasoning with" the terrorist. But whatever we do militarily, and however successful it is, we'll surely have to reason with the millions, perhaps hundreds of millions, who sympathize significantly with them.
