    Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

gisterme , who functions on this thread extensively as a " Bush administration official "stand-in" set out "reasons for and against missile defense" in

I have things I find wrong, and incomplete, about these reasons. Others should judge for themselves.

Looking at this thread, or the larger dialog between nations, gisterme's reasons, pro and con, miss the key concern people have with missile defense.

That reason is distrust of the morality and reliability of the United States, on issues where Thomas Friedman, almarst , and many other people think US policy, so often expressed by Henry Kissinger, "can make Machievelli look like one of the Sisters of Mercy."

THAT is what has to change - for large scale progress toward real peace to be possible.

President Bush himeself quite recently expressed his concern that people need to honor the golden rule. He's right on point about that. If we did so, in our international and military relations, the fears that motivate missile defense would be much less justified, and we could find militarily disciplined, organized, solid ways to be safer ourselves, and have the world safer, too.

It seems Bob quickly regains the vigor just from the one-day-rest, nice meet yoy Bob, any way!

Do you remember the famous song sung by Eagles "HoTel California"?

The last part of the sing read as such that "we are programmed to receive, you can check out any time you like but you can never leave".

Yes,you roshwalerist are programmed to deny the authencity of the US government and you can check out this forum any time yoy like but you can never leave!

The ditinguishing feature of the communists in general is that they are all liers. This is the remarkable remark of Toynbee, not mine.

According to Toynbee's logic the Pseudo-communists, especilly the roshwalerists should be,ought to be and have to be all liars albeit in a lesser degree.

Why you Pseudo-communists believe in the communism?

Is it a religion or a proxy of it?

If you roshwalerists think the communism a religion or a proxy of it ,forget it!

Don't you remember that Nietsche already proclaimed the death of the God?

No God,no religion,is this right?

A blind fold faiths to any false religion will bring a catastrophy to you and thy neighbours.

Forget it! Believe me!

You should remember! If not,all the leaves brown and all the sky is grey you see and you will walk alone on your own wintersday.

How misrable it shall be!

Forget it! Believe me!

K(G?)onnichiwa to you!

June 20, 2001 Bush: Religious Donations 'Abysmal' By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

"`` One of the statistics I noted in my (Notre Dame) speech was how abysmal corporate giving is to religious organizations whose sole intent is to help people, people who have heard the call, 'What can I do to help a neighbor in need,' people who live by the golden rule,'' Bush said.

We need to be disciplined, and careful, but we need more of the golden rule in our international relations.

Doing that, and doing it right, takes care, and means we must get facts straight, a point Senators and other representatives know, as all other capable Americans do.

It might interest some to search "NAZI" on this thread - - - there are, I believe, reasons for concern about some US policies, including some of this administration particularly -- you can look at the references and judge for yourself. I think there are patterns that deserve consideration, and my guess is that Putin, and many other responsible people, including foreign leaders, do as well.

Anybody who calls me a Communist has almost no focus on what that idea could possibly mean.
