    Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

Dear Almast-2001,

Many thanks to your nice comments.

You said that I obviously exclude the possibility the US is the one to play a role of a "gangster" and you do not agree with me. I thanks again for the politeness of your expressions that you favored toward me.

You tweezed the essence well. Yes,I obviously exclude the possibility the US is the one to play a role of a "gangster".

As you said that you went over to my message, I think I can expect that you may remember my statement as follows.

" After all, what matter are the sences of morality and ethics, the views about the world and the views about the history and the philosophy on the part of those who have nuclear weapons. "

Yes,I suggested five norms as the benchmark for judging if any country is the gangster one or not.

I think the US overall grade for the morality, ethics, world view, historical view and national philosophy is much more greater than any of those other nations' mentioned yesterday.

The main logical ground of this conjecture lies on the the undeniable fact that US is much more open and democratic society than those countries are.

You may argue that my conclusion is wholly based upon the arbitrary adhoc comparative method.

Yes,mine is.

So,what?

Is there any thing absolute in the mundane world all we are locked up in?

absolute, absolutely

An Aussie company recently has been telling employees in contact with customer to forget 'yes' and replace it with 'Absolutely' ....

"Is that possible ?"

    Absolutely
" Can i pay by credit card"
    Absolutely
" Will the plane arrive on time"
    Absolutely

In MD terms ....

"Could one misfire destroy the world?"

    A B S O L U T E L Y !!

Dear Possumdag,

You are right!

The US is going to NMD by the very reason you mentioned.

But if the nations newly holding the lethal weapons do not threat the US,she is not going to NMD absolutely, too.

This will absolutely support my arguement that the US could not be a gangster.

Thank you for finding a rare example of the absoluteness in this relative world.

"I think the US overall grade for the morality, ethics, world view, historical view and national philosophy is much more greater than any of those other nations' mentioned yesterday."

Let me please politely but strongly disagree.

I thought I explained my view and presented enough of examples of US criminal acts to put your statement to question.

In fact, it comes directly after the Hitler-Stalin record on the scale of attrocities in 20th century. With one big difference: Both Stalin and Hitler inherited a devasted economically and divided philosophically countries and where inspired by a totalitarian "quik-fix" mithology.

The US fought a tipicaly imperialistic wars far from its territory for no other reason but an attempt to dictate and rule the world. Commiting the most terrible and absolutly unjustifiable and unforgivable crimes against foreign countries' civilian population.

And continue doing the same even AFTER the end of the WWII and even the end of the Cold War.

Based on the US public at large reaction to the chearful Pentagon and the media coverage of military compains in Iraq and Yugoslavia, my conclusion is that this country is the biggest tread to the World today.

Anything wich may enchance ability of US military to conduct its military operations without real consequences is a danger to any nation unvilling to succumb to US dictate.

Just ask yourself: If it would be an individual with a criminal record such as US country - Would you grant him the right to posess any additional arms?

Someone wrote that there are serious threats for the US...what are these threats (I guess they are countries), could someone specify, please. I understand that there are threats for the traveling citizens, both European and American, but the shield won't help us now or never abroad. Does someone really seriously believe that for example France, let alone the US would be in danger of missile attac?
