    Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

I'd like to see a 'truth race' incorporated into the 2008 Olympics :)

I believe this is a time of much hope.

I still have a problem -- it is a mental and physical problem. I'm so concerned about the risks of nuclear accident, with the lies told and the mistakes made, by the US and Russia, that when I think of it, I sometimes shake, and get so afraid that I lose the focus in my eyes.

I believe that the risk of destruction of the world is great, now, and though I know many things stand in the way of total peace, I do hope that things can be done to get this under control.

My guess has been that the "expected value of deaths per day due to nuclear distruction" is roughly 1.6 million per day -- and feeling so, I find myself too preoccupied, and find it hard to tend to things I need to.

I'm trying to figure out ways to be useful, and also to survive. Because I don't know enough, and perhaps misunderstand some things, there are things I'd like to do, but feel I can't and some things I do too slowly, because I am afraid to do them.

There are times when I feel the need to ask for help. I need help in getting into working contact with some people. If I had an institution - the Russian embassy might be ideal, make a few phone calls, to get some people heading institutions to read stuff I sent them, I might be able to be of more use, and get past some chain breakers.

Some comments:

There is a case to make, for welcoming Russia into the community of nations, and for peace. The case has to be well made - strong enough.
