    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

No, being part of the community of nations can be protection, too -- and that protection can be enhanced by action by the community of nations.

We need to ask questions.

But when questions are asked, progress can be made:

but we know more about checking now. -- And the US, even at its very worst, has far, far more to say in its favor than Nazi Germany.

There's hope, and on missile defense and some other key problems, some progress and clarification is being achieved.

Well, I have a sinking feeling that we are running around the circle here. As long as you are convinced that NK has to simply depend on the collective enlightenment of US leadership and its allies, I do not believe our discussion will get anywhere.

I very much doubt that they is what NK leadership (despite their clownish PR program) has ever counted on or will count on. Also, I do not believe that their basis of rapprochment with US will ever be premised on your assumption (typical flaw that is found in the US progressive camp) that somehow US or its allies will be doing them a favor by doing so.

"being part of the community of nations can be protection"

Isn't it true the US appropriated the position of an ultimate judge on who deserves to be a part of "international community" and who is an "evil" deserved to be destroyed?

Who came to protect the Serbia?

For example, the below exchange must be a joke, right?

"Q5. What would guarantee the N.K. defence if US decides to attack it?

A5 : Absolutely nothing -- and the North Koreans should know that. They should also know that, if threats can be reduced, the US wouldn't attack N. Korea. (And international relations should be arranged to make the risk of unreasonable action less likely -- which asking for clear explanations would do.) "

Well, I bet NK will seriously dispute A5. Heck, maybe the world is gonna get to find out sooner or later the way things are going. The first nuclear exchange between an elephant and scorpion. Btw, scorpion is the term that slipped out of the US pacific commander's lips when describing NK a few years back. A revealing slip, maybe?

The US is better then NAZIs.... Well, some "patriots" are ready to rectify this... Will they have to work too hard?

Anyway, I got sufficiently tired of RSHOW types (full of words, not much of substance) long time ago. Typical US progreesive on some kinda "bovine excretion" crusade to enlighten the world through reformation of the ever-hopeful US government. Well, no wonder NK frustrates both liberals and conservatives in the US. It is funnier sight that the clownish NK pr campaigns.

Happy journies.....

Great for the defense industry.

But what about the real interests of human beings -- in America or elsewhere?

Or, while you are at it. Please have Japan apologise to those Dutch and Japanese comfort women as well......or maybe such action doesn't fit the trendy picture of "evil" rising sun on rampage acroos poor asians. What a joke, albeit accepted as conventional wisdom...:-)

Adios amigos.

That has to be contested. It seems that many, all over the world, are willing to contest this. America has to be asked to argue its case, before other nations -- as other nations have to expect to work to convince the United States.

There's room for progress, of course. But WMD --especially nukes, aren't good answers to any questions at all.
